Self-adhesive flat kraft paper bags Medtest (PBSP-SteriMag) are materials for packaging, sterilization, transportation and storage of sterilized products. The bags are suitable for steam, air, ethylene oxide sterilization.
Kraft bags are designed for final sterilization by steam method (at a temperature of 121°C - 134°C) and air method (at a temperature of 160°С - 180°С).
Kraft bags are packages of various sizes. For their manufacture, kraft paper or wet-strength paper is used. These materials do not allow the penetration of microorganisms into the body, subject to the sterilization regimes, the rules for closing packages, storage conditions and periods. The shelf life of sterilized materials is 21 days.
The bags are hermetically sealed with self-adhesive tape. They remain intact both during transportation and after sterilization.
RULES FOR USE OF CRAFT PACKAGES
- Carefully inspect the bag before use . Damaged packaging must not be used.
- Check the date of manufacture of the package and the expiration date. Expired bags must not be used.
- Check if the sterilization indicator is present and matches the color indicated in the instructions.
- Write on the bag the contents (even if one side is transparent), the date and time of sterilization and Signature of the person who carried out the processing and insertion into the package. If there are no special columns for records on the package, this information can be written by hand on the seam of the package.
- Sterilization of materials is carried out according to the established regime, according to the type of sterilizer selected.
- Packages with sterile instruments are stored without unpacking, in dry and clean cabinets, avoiding dust, moisture and sunlight. Certain conditions must be observed in the room: temperature +10 ... +30 ?С and humidity not more than 50%. If moisture gets on the kraft bag, it is considered unusable even after drying.
- The shelf life of the sterilized material should not exceed the life of the bag itself.

Instructions for using Kraft bags
Disinfected tool and pre-sterilization cleaning, put in a dry clean bag and seal. On the package we write the contents of the package (even if one side is transparent), the date and time of sterilization, the signature of the person who carried out the processing and the bookmark in the package. We carry out sterilization in an autoclave or a dry-heat cabinet.
If external indicators (laid inside the device) showed that the sterilizer worked correctly, look at the color of the indicator on the package. After air processing, the color will change to the one specified in the reference, for example, after steaming, beige will turn purple.
Internal indicators must be included in packages without a built-in indicator, they can be bought separately. We talked about how to use indicators correctly earlier.
Several instruments can be sterilized in one package, but it should not be overfilled. Sets (manicure, pedicure) are often laid and sterilized immediately.
The shelf life of the instrument in the package after sterilization is determined by their manufacturer and indicated in the instructions.
If, after examining the package with sterile contents, there are no comments arose, then it is opened while observing asepsis and the contents are laid out on the work surface and used.
