Kraft bag usage rules
- Inspect the bag carefully before use. Damaged packaging must not be used.
- Check the date of manufacture of the package and the expiration date. Expired bags must not be used.
- Check if the sterilization indicator is present and matches the color indicated in the instructions.
- Write on the bag the contents (even if one side is transparent), the date and time of sterilization and Signature of the person who carried out the processing and insertion into the package. If there are no special columns for records on the package, this information can be written by hand on the seam of the package.
- Sterilization of materials is carried out according to the established regime, according to the type of sterilizer selected.
- Packages with sterile instruments are stored without unpacking, in dry and clean cabinets, avoiding dust, moisture and sunlight. The instructions for using bags for sterilization are as follows:

- You cannot completely fill the bag with tools to the limit, there must be free space in it.
- After filling the bag with tools, it is packed with self-adhesive tape.
- The date of sterilization must be indicated on the package.
- After all preparations, the packed packages with tools are immersed in an autoclave or a dry oven.
- When placing the packages in the sterilizer, care must be taken to ensure that they did not come into contact with the walls of the sterilizer, and it is also impossible to violate the load rate.
- Sterilization is carried out according to the established regime. So, in a steam sterilizer at a temperature of 132 ° C, sterilization is carried out for 20 minutes, in a dry-heat cabinet at a temperature of 180 ° C for 60 minutes.
- After sterilization is completed, you need to look at the indicator. If the indicator has not changed color, then you need to identify the cause and then send the instruments back for sterilization.
- Packed bags with sterile instruments are stored in dry cabinets, avoiding moisture or sunlight. As a rule, the shelf life of tools in packages is up to 60 days.
